WARREDOC participates in the Project Risk Management for Cultural Heritage – CHARISMA Academy funded by the EU ERASMUS + programme and coordinated by Mazzini Lab Srl Benefit. The project aims to form professional profiles of Risk Manager for the protection of cultural heritage from climate and social risks. In the current context of uncertainties due to climate change, cultural heritage and historical landscape sites are exposed to potentially irreversible risk and vulnerability factors. The project stems from the need to train highly qualified professional profiles – currently absent in Europe – to manage and mitigate the impacts of climate change on cultural heritage.

WARREDOC is risponsile of a diverse core set of actions that started with the study of state of the art of technical guidelines, technological innovations, tools and policies for natura and human-driven hazards impacting cultural heritage up to the research and production of training material, events and tailored courses to co-identify the optimal educational path to give shape to the Risk Manager for Cultural Heritage.

In this project, WARREDOC is part of a multidisciplinary consortium coordinated by Mazzini Lab Srl Benefit with the participation of Donau-Universität Krems – Rechtswissenschaften und Internationale Beziehungen, ARTE Generali and Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ITAM).

The project, started in 2022,will end in July 2024.
